Unable to let go. Trapped in our minds, not even noticing when overthinking take over us. The world is out there but you feel like there are 20 lenses that cover your eyes. And the dawn is so beautiful, why can't we focus on it and let it consume us?

It's like you can't, can't kill the monster that feeds on you

No matter what you do it seems to get you every time"

We know where these thoughts lead us. We know it keeps us unhappy, dissatisfied, dispising us a little more every time. But we seem unable to stop them. When we face them, we feel defeated. And it takes all of our energy.

But still, we try. We really try. Because we love them and don't want to drag them to our tortured minds, bringing them constant sadness. We just wish it was easier.

It talks about the rollercoaster life is. All the problems and challenges we face every day. The emotions that we feel, even when we don't understand them or even want them. And the reason why we keep trying is hope, we believe something good will come, at the right time. For me though, sometimes this is not enough.

"Serenity betrays and troubles arise" has a special meaning for me. I wish for internal peace more than I wish for anything else in this world. But serenity is never permanent, only in death, I assume.

The Sweet Escape

Two beautiful verses:

I think this is how love should be. I wish I could be fearless, and never hold back. I wish my intentions were only pure, without desiring anything in return. And I wish I could care about others more times than I do about myself.

And this is how I think love would reply back. Someone that is there for you and think the world of you, even after seeing the darkest part of your soul.
